How a heat pump works

A device that extracts heat from the outdoor air and distributes it to the relevant rooms via indoor units (the principle of an air conditioner with a reverse function).

A heat pump normally operates within an outdoor temperature range of from -20 up to +35 or even 40 degrees of outdoor temperature.

In case of extremely low outdoor temperatures there is no need to purchase an additional heat source, because the indoor unit is  equipped with a powerful electric backup heater.

The heat pump also works in reverse mode – so if needed, it can also be used to chill water in the summer season.

Very low costs for heating and domestic hot water – roughly one third of the usual.
